This is your hub for learning the foundations of being a wonderful counselor. Each training video is designed to help you build confidence, consistency, and structure while managing your group of campers.


⏱ Time Credit: You’ll be clocked in for 30 minutes upon completion and passing of each video’s quiz.




This orientation training prepares staff for a safe, organized, and successful School’s Out Camp experience by covering camp procedures, safety protocols, behavior management, hygiene standards, and daily operations. Team members will learn expectations for supervising campers, maintaining a positive environment, and responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies.

Counselor–Camper Interaction Training Course. 

In this training, you’ll learn how to create positive, effective interactions with every camper you meet. We’ll cover key topics such as separation anxiety, perceived disrespect, challenges with following directions, and supporting neurodivergent campers. Each section is designed to give you practical tools you can use right away to build trust, reduce conflict, and help every child feel safe and successful at camp.

Guidance & Discipline Training Course. 

This training provides camp counselors with practical, real-world strategies for guiding behavior and managing discipline in an active summer camp environment. Counselors will learn how to communicate professionally with campers ages 3–12, respond to challenging behaviors, support neurodivergent children, and create a safe, respectful, and positive camp experience.

Camp Safety & Injury Prevention Training prepares staff to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment for all campers. Participants will learn active supervision techniques, trampoline and gym safety best practices, and how to recognize and respond to common injuries and emergencies. This training emphasizes prevention, awareness, and quick action to help keep every camper safe.
